Get summer outdoor gear
Time to gear up.
The 2016 Adventure+Gear Fest, Utah’s largest public mountain and outdoor recreation festival, returns to Sandy this spring. The event features thousands of the newest products of the season; hundreds of experts, industry insiders and celebrities; loads of contests and more than a dozen activities, from the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival to a slackline competition, National Geographic photography seminar, mini velodrome bicycle track, trail runs and much more.
The festival is Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 13.
Group packages for families of four and five are also available.
"If you spend any time at all in Utah’s world famous outdoors — hiking, rafting, yoga’ing, paddleboarding, biking, shooting photos or even just soaking in the rays — this is an event you won’t want to miss," said Landon John, co-producer of the event. "We’ve got all sorts of must-have equipment at prices you won’t find anywhere else, plus tons of great events that will get you, your kids and the family excited for your summer adventures."
This year the Adventure+Gear Fest is a part of Adventure Week — a week of races, clinics, competitions, seminars, festivals, service and much more presented in partnership with Sandy City, Visit Salt Lake, Wasatch Mountain Film Festival, Scheels, REI and Snowbird, among others.
"This is a great chance to celebrate some of Utah’s greatest assets — not to mention greatest companies — and get ready for another amazing spring and summer," John said.
