Gymnasts advance to big meet

Wasatch Gymnastics competitors Jack Bluth, Landen Pettingill and Dane Larsen stand with Coach Steve Lake at the USA Gymnastics state gymnastics championship awards presentation.

Twelve-year-old Jack Bluth completed his second undefeated season and won first place in the All Around at the recent USA Gymnastics men’s state championship meet.

Eleven-year-old Landen Pettingill and 10-year-old Dane Larsen each earned awards on individual events.

All three boys will be attending the Regional Championships on April 1 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Wasatch Gymnastics is located at the Wasatch County Recreation Center and offers classes starting at age three. Director and Head Coach Steve Lake of Park City was a scholarship gymnast at BYU, record holder on the floor exercise and National Championship competitor.

Coach Steve has been teaching gymnastics for over 30 years and has owned his own gymnastics school for over 20 years. Good luck to these young men as they head to regionals for a world-class experience!
