Heber City’s own Lina Farra was named to the U.S. Biathlon IBU Cup Team on Monday morning, joining nine fellow athletes from across the country. This appointment is solely for the first trimester of the competition season, after which U.S. Biathlon will be re-evaluating this team and the World Cup Team. Farra, like her teammates, will then have the opportunity to rise in the ranks onto the World Cup Team if they have strong performances. The Cup Team’s season kicks off on Nov. 30 with the first event in Kontiolahti, Finland, which will run until Dec. 3 with men’s and women’s individual, sprint and mixed relay events. Interested fans can track Farra and her teammates’ progress in that or any other event through U.S. Biathlon’s website, which has a free live stream available through Eurovision Sports.
