North Summit moves to 5-1 behind massive second quarter scoring spree

The North Summit Braves improved to 5-1 on their season last Friday evening, thrashing the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs 59-14 on the road. The Braves were led by a 33 point scoring effort in the second quarter, where their Swiss Army Knife in quarterback, cornerback and strong safety Jake Smith posted three touchdowns (two rushing and one passing). Next up for Smith and his Braves are the Beaver Beavers, who they’ll travel to on Friday before closing their season out with three consecutive regional games, two of which will be at home.
