Park City Fencing Academy hands out awards

Park City Fencing Academy athletes took home a basket of trophies at the academy’s end-of-the-year awards ceremony.

Recipients included Ava Kimche, Youth 8 Cup Champion and Rookie of the Year; Ilan Hendler, Youth 12 Rookie of the Year; Eli Kimche, Youth 14 Rookie of the Year; Erica Tsai, Youth 14 Cup Champion; Yueh-Ting Tsai, Most Improved Junior Fencer; Mariah Slagle, Junior Women’s Champion; and Daniel Holley, Junior Men’s Champion.

Erica Tsai went on to fence at nationals this year and took ninth in her age group in the nation. Other Youth League participants included Bryce Murrin, Luke Swanson, Nash Batten, Cole Farquarhson, Joey Carpenter and Austin Worley earning league points.
