Park City Mountain sets winter dates

Park City Mountain Resort announced operating dates for the 2016-2017 ski and snowboard season. The Park City Base Area will open on Friday, Nov. 18, and Canyons Village will open on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Park City will close for the season on Sunday, April 16, 2017.

In 2015, Park City Mountain Resort made its debut as the largest ski and snowboard resort in the United States after investing $50 million in capital improvements to connect the former Park City and Canyons resorts. This year, Park City will open for winter operations on a Friday, a day earlier than its traditional Saturday opening. Canyons Village will also open earlier, the day before Thanksgiving, allowing guests to enjoy more of their holiday experience on the slopes. The 2016-17 season will extend through Easter Sunday. Utah families who wish to participate in the free program must enroll by May 30. Online registration is now open at http://www.epicschoolkids.com/utah .
