Parkite Casey Dawson kicking off his World Cup season this weekend in Japan

Parkite Casey Dawson will be kicking off his ISU World Cup speedskating season this weekend in Obihiro, Japan, at the Meiji Hokkaido Tokachi Oval. Dawson will be competing in the 1500m, 5000m and team pursuit events, with the 10,000m event not being contested at this World Cup. Previously speaking with The Park Record, Dawson described his excitement to compete in new locations like Obihiro, Stavanger, Norway and more, while looking to improve his individual times. Next weekend, Dawson and the rest of the other competitors will travel to Beijing, for the second World Cup of the season.
