Vulcan Tournament of Champions to take place August 15-19 in Brigham City

The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) is set to stop in Brigham City next month for its Vulcan Tournament of Champions. The event will be held at Rees Pioneer Park in Brigham, marking the Carvana PPA Tour’s 17th stop out of 25 slated tournaments.
The tournament will be the tour’s second stint in Utah this season, with the Selkirk Red Rock Open having come to St. George April 4-8.
It will begin on Aug. 15 with men’s and women’s pro singles matches, and conclude on Aug. 19 with championships for those and men’s, women’s and mixed doubles events.

Registration for the amateur events starts at $95 and can be completed on pickleballbrackets.com. Tickets for the pro matches start at $25 dollars and can be found on third-party sites like Tixr and Vivid Seats.
It will begin on Aug. 15 with men’s and women’s pro singles matches, and conclude on Aug. 19 with championships for those and men’s, women’s and mixed doubles events.

The founder and CEO of the PPA, a Salt Lake native, Connor Pardoe, detailed the importance of the event to the tour, as the first pickleball tournament to offer prize money and use refs for matches.
“This event definitely set the stage for pickleball’s incredible growth on the competitive front,” said Pardoe in a prepared statement. “The Brigham City Pickleball Courts provides a stunning venue and picturesque surroundings for fans to enjoy watching the best pickleball athletes in the world, including a host of Utah natives … We look forward to celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the historic tournament with everyone.”
