PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT
On Friday morning, PCMR was reporting a 64-inch base. The resort has received 188 inches of snow to date this season, including an inch of new snow in the past 48 hours. At PCMR, all 16 lifts were open Friday serving 115 of 116 runs (47 groomed), four parks, two pipes, and seven out of nine bowls. At Canyons, 159 of 179 trails were open Friday (53 groomed), along with all five bowls. All 19 lifts were running. The resort is reporting 201 inches of snow so far this season, with a 53-inch base at mid-mountain and a 73-inch base at the summit, and two inches of new snow in the past 48 hours. DEER VALLEY RESORT
Deer Valley is reporting a 67-inch base, with two inches of new snow in the past 24 hours. All of the resort’s 21 lifts are running, serving all 100 runs and all seven bowls. UTAH OLYMPIC PARK
The Utah Olympic Park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are guided tours on the hour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Museums are free to explore. Soldier Hollow, near Midway, offers cross-country skiing for beginners to experts on the site of the 2002 Olympics. The trails are open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Friday, Soldier Hollow was reporting an 18-inch base and nine groomed trails totaling 18K. Groomer’s choice is Goin’ Home. Soldier Hollow also has Utah’s longest (1,200-foot) tubing lanes, which come with lift service, lights and a sound system. Because of poor snow conditions in Round Valley, Mountain Trails Foundation has cancelled this year’s Round Valley Roundup. Overall, snow cover is getting thin. Skiing on the Rail Trail is not recommended. Silver Quinn and Barrel Roll are finished, at least for the time being. Land of Oz is still pretty good; RV Express is hanging on. Basin Recreation reports that some trails are still in good shape, although there are bare spots on every trail. The best conditions are reported on Basin Rec 5K XC trails, McLeod Creek, Willow Creek Park area, Miss Billy’s, and the Woods at Parley’s Lane. WHITE PINE TOURING

GORGOZA TUBING PARK
Gorgoza Park, owned and operated by Park City Mountain Resort, is scheduled to run through April 7. The scheduled hours of operation are: Saturday and Sunday, noon to 8 p.m.; Monday through Friday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be extended hours on April 5-7 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Ticket are $8 for one ride, $22 for two hours and $33 for four hours. WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST
The Kamas Ranger District maintains several cross-country ski and snowmobile trails in the Uinta Mountains east of Kamas. The 5-mile groomed Beaver Creek Trail parallels S.R. 150 and is accessible from a number of parking areas along the highway. Dogs are allowed on this trail only on odd-numbered days.
