On Tuesday morning, PCMR was reporting a 65-inch base. The resort has received 199 inches of snow to date this season, with two inches of new snow in the past 72 hours. At PCMR, 15 of 16 lifts were open Tuesday serving 109 of 116 runs (48 groomed), four parks, two pipes, and six of nine bowls. Go to or call (435) 649-8111 for more information.


At Canyons, 150 of 179 trails were open Tuesday (48 groomed), along with all five bowls. All 19 lifts were running. The resort is reporting 213 inches of snow so far this season, with a 49-inch base at mid-mountain and a 60-inch base at the summit, and four inches of new snow in the past four days. Deer Valley is reporting a 65-inch base, with an inch of new snow in the past 24 hours. All of the resort’s 21 lifts are running, serving all 100 runs and all seven bowls. For more information on lifts and trails, and a schedule of upcoming events, visit or call (435) 649-1000.


The Utah Olympic Park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are guided tours on the hour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Museums are free to explore. The winter Comet Bobsled Rides and Rocket Skeleton Rides are now open for the winter season. Reservations are highly recommended. Unseasonably warm temperatures last week have put an end to cross-country skiing on most local trails, although a huge spring storm could cause MTF to reopen limited track. Basin Recreation reports that all cross-country ski trails are finished for the year except upper sections of the Basin Rec 5K XC trails at the UOP, where spring conditions were reported in the March 15 grooming report. For trail information or maintenance concerns, email Bob Radke at or visit .

Gorgoza Park, owned and operated by Park City Mountain Resort, is scheduled to run through April 7. The scheduled hours of operation are: Saturday and Sunday, noon to 8 p.m.; Monday through Friday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be extended hours on April 5-7 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Ticket are $8 for one ride, $22 for two hours and $33 for four hours. The Kamas Ranger District maintains several cross-country ski and snowmobile trails in the Uinta Mountains east of Kamas. The 5-mile groomed Beaver Creek Trail parallels S.R. 150 and is accessible from a number of parking areas along the highway. Dogs are allowed on this trail only on odd-numbered days.
