PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT

As of Tuesday morning, Park City Mountain Resort reported one inch of snow in the past 72 hours. The base depth was listed as 18 inches and there have been 36 total inches of snow to date this season. Three lifts and seven runs, all groomed, are open. CANYONS RESORT

Canyons is gearing up for its winter season, which is scheduled to begin on Friday, Nov. 29. The resort is reporting 11 inches of snowfall in the last four days, a 28-inch base depth both at the summit and at Mid-Mountain and 33 total inches of snow so far this season. DEER VALLEY RESORT

Deer Valley is set to kick off its ski season on Dec. 7. The resort is reporting one inch of snow in the last 72 hours and a 40-inch snow total so far this season. For more information on lifts and trails, and a schedule of upcoming events, visit http://www.deervalley.com or call 435-649-1000.

UTAH OLYMPIC PARK

The Utah Olympic Park is open daily, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are guided tours at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Museums are free to explore. The winter Comet Bobsled Rides and Rocket Skeleton Rides will open for the winter season on Dec. 17 and will run through March. Reservations are highly recommended. SOLDIER HOLLOW CROSS COUNTRY

Soldier Hollow, near Midway, offers cross-country skiing for beginners to experts on the site of the 2002 Olympics. The trails will open when winter conditions allow. Soldier Hollow also has Utah’s longest (1,200-foot) tubing lanes, which come with lift service, lights and a sound system. MOUNTAIN TRAILS

BASIN RECREATION

Most of the Basin Recreation trails are closed, but a few are still open for hiking. In the North Basin area, Short Stack, Road to WOS and Short Ribs are still open. In the Mid Mountain area, Rob’s Trail is ready to go. Basin Rec asks that if you do use the trails, please only do so when the temperatures are below freezing and please turn around if you encounter mud. WHITE PINE TOURING

GORGOZA TUBING PARK

Gorgoza Park, owned and operated by Park City Mountain Resort, is scheduled to open on Nov. 27 and run through April 6. The scheduled hours of operation are: Saturday and Sunday, noon to 8 p.m.; Monday through Friday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Extended holiday hours are as follows: Dec. 21 through Jan. 5, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Jan. 18-20, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Feb. 15-17, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Feb. 18-21, noon to 8 p.m.; Tickets are $8 for one ride, $23 for two hours and $33 for four hours.
