PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT
On Tuesday morning, Park City Mountain Resort reported seven inches of new snow in the previous 24 hours. The base depth was listed as 85 inches. All 19 lifts and 115 of 116 runs were open, along with seven bowls, four of five terrain parks and two pipes. PCMR is schedule to close for the season on April 20. On Tuesday morning, Canyons had 19 lifts open, serving 171 trails, 66 groomed. Painted Horse Progression Park and Transitions Terrain Park are open, as is Burtons Riglet Park. The resort was reporting five inches of new snow in the previous 24 hours, a 90-inch base depth at the summit and a 69-inch base at mid-mountain. There have been 207 total inches of snow so far this season. Canyons is scheduled to close for the season on April 13 before reopening for the summer at a to-be-determined date. DEER VALLEY RESORT
At Deer Valley, all 21 lifts were open Tuesday, serving all 101 runs, of which 61 were groomed, and all 7 bowls/chutes. On Tuesday, the resort reported seven inches of new snow in the previous 24 hours, a 92-inch base and a 233-inch snow total so far this season. Deer Valley is scheduled to close for the season on April 13 and reopen for the summer on June 13. UTAH OLYMPIC PARK
The Utah Olympic Park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are guided tours at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Museums are free to explore. The winter Comet Bobsled Rides and Rocket Skeleton Rides will run through March. Reservations are highly recommended. SOLDIER HOLLOW CROSS COUNTRY
Soldier Hollow, near Midway, is now closed for the winter season. Soldier Hollow offers cross-country skiing for beginners to experts on the site of the 2002 Olympics. Soldier Hollow also has Utah’s longest (1,200-foot) tubing lanes, which come with lift service, lights and a sound system. Mountain Trails maintains and grooms several miles of trails. Mountain Trails suspended grooming on March 6 due to the warm weather, but may resume in the event of a major spring storm. The 2013-14 grooming season has come to a close and grooming on all trails including the Basin Rec 5K has ended. All paved trails have been cleared for walking, running, and biking. The following backcountry trails are still snowpacked: Short Stack, Road to WOS, Short Ribs, Rob’s Trail, Ambush Trail, Rosebud’s Heaven, Holly’s Trail, Ridge Connector, Short Swing, Midmountain (all sections), Pinecone Ridge and Hunters Trail. WHITE PINE TOURING
White Pine Touring operates a 20K+ cross-country ski center at Park City Golf Course, with 3K, 5K and 10K+ loops perfect for the beginner, intermediate and advanced classic or skate skier. On Tuesday morning, White Pine was reporting two inches of new snow. The 3K loop and half of the 5K loop were open. The best skiing conditions will be found before noon. GORGOZA TUBING PARK
Gorgoza Park, owned and operated by Park City Mountain Resort, will be open through April 6. Hours of operation are: Saturday and Sunday, noon to 8 p.m.; Monday through Friday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $8 for one ride, $23 for two hours and $33 for four hours.
