PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT
On Friday morning, Park City Mountain Resort reported no new snow in the previous 24 hours. The base depth was listed as 79 inches. There have been 298 inches of snow so far this season. Fifteen lifts and 102 of 116 runs were open, 44 groomed, along with five bowls, four terrain parks and two pipes. PCMR is scheduled to close on April 20. It will reopen for the summer on May 23. On Friday morning, Canyons had 19 lifts open, serving 161 trails, 51 groomed, and five bowls. The resort reported no new snow in the previous 24 hours, an 86-inch base depth at the summit and a 64-inch base at mid-mountain. There have been 242 total inches of snow so far this season. Canyons is scheduled to close for the season on April 13, and will reopen for the summer at a to-be-determined date. DEER VALLEY RESORT
At Deer Valley, all 21 lifts were open Friday, serving 97 runs, of which 68 were groomed. On Friday, the resort reported no new snow in the previous 24 hours, a 90-inch base and a 270-inch snow total so far this season. Deer Valley is scheduled to close on April 13 and reopen for the summer on June 13. The 2013-14 grooming season has come to a close and grooming on all trails including the Basin Rec 5K has ended. All paved trails have been cleared for walking, running, and biking. The following backcountry trails are still snowpacked: Short Stack, Road to WOS, Short Ribs, Rob’s Trail, Ambush Trail, Rosebud’s Heaven, Holly’s Trail, Ridge Connector, Short Swing, Mid-mountain (all sections), Pinecone Ridge and Hunters Trail. The Stealth, Blackhawk and 24-7 (Jeremy Ranch) trails are open but muddy in places. Many trails are open, but Basin Rec asks hikers to watch for muddy spots. All others are closed. Please do not use them until they dry out. Backcountry trail conditions report will be updated regularly during mud season.
