Paleo Diet: Healthy or Hoax?

A lot of people have gone Paleo, but is it healthy or is it a hoax? Obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer and other inflammatory diseases are rampant in our modern society. During the Paleolithic era, more than 10,000 years ago, humans were hunters and gatherers. Today’s hunter-gatherer societies (with diets similar to our Paleolithic ancestors) show few of any of those illnesses. Join sport nutritionist Audrey Lee, Ph.D., on Wednesday, March 13, at Silver Mountain Sports Club, 2080 Gold Dust Lane, in Prospector Square, to find out if eating Paleo is right for you! Two free seminars will be held at 9:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Call (435) 649-6670 for more info.
