Ironman Champion in Park City

Figure Skating Spring Ice Show

Support the Figure Skating Club of Park City and all of its talented members, Learn to Skate participants and Ice Miners youth hockey players as they skate in "Off to Neverland," a modern interpretation of Peter Pan, at the Park City Ice Arena. Admission is $10 at the door for ages 5 and older. Show times are Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 11, at 2 p.m.

Park City Golf Club Open

Basin Rec Zumba Masters

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo a day early with Basin Recreation’s Zumba Master Class on Saturday, May 4, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Fieldhouse. This 90-minute cardio dance party will feature a series of local Zumba instructors. All Zumba Fitness ability levels are welcome. The entrance fee is $10 at the door. Youth Crew RSL Trip

Basin Recreation’s Youth Crew is gearing up to watch Real Salt Lake take on the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, May 4, from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Kids ages 10 to 13 will enjoy pizza, a pregame walk onto Rio Tinto’s field, and a Major League Soccer match. The arena is outdoors, so dress accordingly. Drop-off and pickup are at the Trailside location. Cost is $40 per crew member. Community Soccer Meeting

Park City Soccer Club will hold an informational meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, in the Community Room at the Trailside offices to answer questions about competitive-level youth soccer. Park City Soccer Club offers competitive soccer programs for boys and girls age 6-18. Team tryouts for the 2013-14 seasons are May 28-June 1. Spring Pre-Comp Swim Team

Park City Recreation is taking registration for youth spring pre-comp swim team for ages 6-12. Coached workouts, Monday through Thursday, 4-5 p.m., will focus on stroke and skill work while preparing swimmers for competitive swim team. Session runs May 6-30. Friday Skate Jams

These jam-format competitions are fun for both skaters and spectators. Beginner, intermediate and advanced street divisions will be held May 10 and 24, 5:30-7 p.m. at Park City Skate Park. Intro to Lacrosse

Basin Recreation is partnering with Team Altitude for an Introduction to Lacrosse program. This six-week clinic will introduce youngsters to the fundamentals of lacrosse on Saturdays from May 11 through June 22 at the Fieldhouse. First-, second- and third-grade girls will meet at 9-9:50 a.m. Co-ed kindergarteners will meet at 10-10:50 a.m. Players will be provided with a stick and eye protection, but please bring a mouth guard. Park City Recreation Tiny Tri

Park City Recreation and Park City Triathlon Club are joining together to introduce triathlon competition to beginner and newcomers. Distances are short and in reverse order. The Tiny Tri is June 15 with the beginner start at 9 a.m. and youth start at 10:30 a.m. Registration deadline is May 28. Space is limited. Women’s Fly Fishing

On May 15, 16, and 18, High Country Fly Fishers will hold its annual Fly Fishing Clinic for women. The clinic is open to the public and the first 20 women to sign up will be accepted. The cost is $25. The clinic is sponsored by Jans, which will provide all necessary equipment and some guides and instructors. There will be an evening of classroom, an evening of casting instruction, and a half day of guided fishing on the middle Provo River. First Aid/CPR Course

Learn First Aid, CPR and AED skills at the PC MARC from certified National Safety Council instructors on May 20, 5:30 to 10 p.m. The course, which meets national safety standards, is for ages 18 and older. Summer Junior Tennis Camp

Summer camps at the PC MARC begin June 10 for beginner and intermediate players ages 7-14. Two-day, three-day and five-day camps are offered from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The $45 daily fee includes a T-shirt and prizes on "Game Day." Mini Tennis Camp at PC MARC

For ages 3 to 7, Mini Camp at the PC MARC starts on June 1 with three sessions throughout the summer: June 1 to 29; July 1 to August 3; and August 5 to 24. Summer Nights Coed Volleyball

Four vs. four coed league using rally scoring for adults 18 and older begins June 4; the drop-in date is May 28. Matches are Tuesdays, 6 to 10 p.m. at the City Park sand courts. Fencing at the MARC

The PC MARC is hosting beginning fencing classes for ages 7 through adult (with classes split into kid and adult groups). Class meets Thursdays in May at the MARC in Park Meadows. Youth/Adult Dirt Jump Camps

Park City Recreation will hold youth and adult dirt jump camps and clinics throughout the summer at the Park City Dirt Jump Park. Dirt jump instructors will help riders advance in the sport of progressive mountain biking. Sessions are an hour a day for three days, Monday-Wednesday. Summer Skateboard Camps and Clinics

Park City Recreation will offer three different skateboard programs throughout the summer at the Park City Skate Park. Park City’s best skaters will teach adults and kids of all levels. Programs offered are Summer Skateboard Camp for kids, Parent/Kid Skateboard Clinic and All-Girls Skate Session. Registration deadline for Parent/Kid and All-Girls is May 3. Adventure Camp

Park City Recreation offers a challenging all-day adventure camp for ages 9-14 this summer with six Monday-through-Friday sessions. Summer Day Camp

Park City Recreation’s professional staff will guide your child age 6-12 through exciting summer days filled with sports, games, arts & crafts and field trips. Park City Recreation has your swim needs covered. Spring lessons start May 5 for afternoon times. Summer swim lessons are offered weekdays and Saturday mornings. Adult Learn-to-Play Hockey

The Park City Ice Arena is hosting an adult learn-to-play hockey class on Tuesdays in May from 7:45 to 9:15 p.m. This class focuses on the basic and intermediate skills of power skating, stick handling, passing, shooting and positioning. Fee covers: chalk talk before ice session, instruction, skate rental, and a 1.5-hour lesson. To register for this class, students must be stable (to stand without help) and able (to skate forward and stop). Required equipment includes: skates, helmets, stick, gloves, shin pads, elbow pads and protective cup. Limited sets of equipment may be available for rent at the arena. Registration is $70. Youth Soccer Academy

The Park City Soccer Club’s Spring Youth Academy is open for registration for youngsters ages 6-10. The goal of PCSC Youth Academy is to teach the game of soccer in a fun and challenging environment. Players will be taught individual ball skills and creativity through developmentally-appropriate training sessions. Kickboxing at Silver Mountain

Kickboxing is a fun way to burn calories, strengthen your body and relieve stress. Silver Mountain Sports Club is now offering kickboxing classes on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at the Prospector Square location, 2080 Gold Dust Lane. Taught by world-champion kickboxer Travis Mason, this new class is open to men and women of all ages. Kickboxing is free for Silver Mountain Sports Club members and punch-pass holders.
