Basin Rec Guided Hike
Explore Basin Recreation’s vast trail system with a free guided hike on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 10:30 a.m. on Rob’s Trail. Meet at Rob’s Trailhead in Sun Peak. Hikes last an hour and a half to two hours. The trails staff picks a different trail every few weeks for the rest of the summer. See the website for a full list of dates and locations. Primal Move at Silver Mountain
Primal Move is a hot new fitness trend that brings back the playful side of exercise, and it is not your typical gym workout. There is purpose, direction, and a primary goal to move and feel better when you leave then when you arrived. It’s perfect for athletes who want to prevent injuries or anyone wanting to improve balance and flexibility. Silver Mountain Sports Club offers Primal Move classes through certified personal trainer Kevin Rail. Primal Move classes are at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday mornings in Prospector Park. All-Girls Skate Session
Girls ages five and older are invited to learn to skate in this fun clinic that offers instruction for all levels. The clinic runs Sept. 8-29 on Sundays, 10-11:30 a.m., at the Park City Skate Park. Parent/Kid Skateboard Clinic

Miners Day Bowl Jam
Park City Recreation presents the Park City Miners Day Bowl Jam at the Park City Skate Park on Monday, Sept. 2, 3-6 p.m. Participants in the Open Amateur division will compete for great prize packages. Mountain Trails Foundation Needs Volunteers
The Mountain Trails Foundation needs volunteers for several upcoming events, including the Park City Marathon on Aug. 17, the Mid Mountain Marathon on Sept. 7 and the Tour des Suds on Sept. 15. The most pressing need is for aid stations and course marshals at the Park City Marathon. This event is a huge fundraiser for the trail system and will have about 2,000 athlete-participants. Basin Rec Flag Football
It’s time to sign up for Basin Recreation’s NFL Flag Football. Games and practices will be held at the Fieldhouse from Aug. 26 through Oct. 18 starting with player evaluations. Registration is open to first through sixth graders. Cost is now $75 per player. Fall is fast approaching, so it’s time to sign up for Basin Recreation Fall Soccer. Swing for Sports
Join Basin Recreation for the first Swing for Sports golf tournament on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Park City Golf Course. All proceeds will help underprivileged youth in our community stay active in sports programs at an affordable cost through our scholarship program. Paddleboard Fitness and Yoga Classes
Park City Standup Paddleboarding offers on-the-water yoga classes every Wednesday and Friday at 10 a.m. PC SUP also offers paddleboard fitness classes on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10 a.m. The classes cost $20 each and include a board rental. Pickleball at the PC MARC
One of the fastest-growing sports in America, Pickleball is now offered at the PC MARC. This fun sport has simple rules and lots of action. Racquet-sport enthusiasts and newcomers are welcome to play on the MARC’s three indoor Pickleball courts Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon. Fee is $3 per player. Learn to Swim at Silver Mountain
Youth swim lessons at Silver Mountain Sports Club are offered throughout the summer. There are eight half-hour lessons in each session, with one instructor for every four children. Couples League at PC Golf Club
The Couples League, for beginning to advanced golfers, is new for 2013 at the Park City Golf Club. Handicaps are not used and you do not have to be a member of the USGA. Summer Junior Tennis Camp
The PC MARC offers summer camps for beginner and intermediate tennis players ages 7 to 14.
