Performance Sports Training at Athletic Republic

If you are looking for an off-season training solution, Athletic Republic has something for you. Little Dribblers at Basin Rec

Get ready to shoot some hoops! Basin Recreation’s Little Dribblers will run from Oct. 14 through Dec. 7. Preschool and kindergarteners will play on either Tuesday or Thursday in addition to Saturday at Trailside Elementary. First- and second-graders will play on Mondays and Wednesdays at Ecker Hill Middle School. All teams are coed and are designed to emphasize the fundamentals of basketball and to encourage improvement each week. Cost is $65 (includes a jersey). Adult Golf Clinic

Park City Golf Course will be offering adult golf clinics Sept. 16, 18, 23 and 25 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost per person is $120. Please call (435) 615-5800 for more information. The clinics will be taught by Vaughn Robinson and Ken Stenmark.

Hole in One

Courtney McCann aced Hole #12 at Soldier Hollow’s Gold Course on Sept. 7. McCann used a driver on the 127-yard par 3 hole. Greg Haney witnessed the shot.

Park City Curling Club Meeting

The Park City Curling Club will hold a monthly club meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Park City Ice Arena, 600 Gilmore Way. This is a meeting for anyone who is seeking information on curling or would like to join or enter a team into our Fall/Winter season. Park City Recreation Fall Coed Volleyball League

Yoga in The Woods

Sports psychologist Lauren Brooke will speak about "Bouncing Beyond" during this month’s free Lunchtime Learning on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at noon. Basin Rec Bike Clinic

Bike with Basin Recreation during a series of adult beginner mountain bike clinics on Sept. 12 and 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Learn the basics and connect with new riders. Bike-handling skills will include steep inclines and descents, switchbacks, and cornering. Meeting locations are various trailheads (check website). Cost is $10 per clinic. Park City Soccer Club Fall Youth Academy

Is your son or daughter new to soccer or a player with a few years under his or her belt? No matter what their experience, the Park City Soccer Club Youth Academy is an ideal environment for them to be introduced to new skills or get a lot of touches on the ball. PC MARC Fall Fitness Schedule

PCHS Hockey Registration

Practice started Sept. 3 at the Park City Ice Arena. The parents meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 6:30 p.m., also at the PC Ice Arena. Tae Kwon Do at Basin Rec

Learn the fundamentals of self defense in the traditional Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do with Basin Recreation! Youths (ages 8 and above) and adults are invited to take part in the fall session from Sept. 10 through Nov. 26 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Trailside Park Fitness Room. Dryland Training at the PC MARC

Dryland Training, designed for those seeking personal-training attention in a group setting, runs Aug. 27 to Oct. 3 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the PC MARC. The program will help increase muscular endurance levels and prepare for seasonal activities. The fee is $145 and the deadline to register is Aug. 25. Fall Junior Tennis

Park City Recreation offers Session 1 of Fall Junior Tennis Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 26 to Oct. 19. All levels of high school, grades 8-12, are welcome. Team A, for intermediate and advanced tournament players, meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 4:30 to 6 p.m., at City Park. Team B, for beginner and intermediate non-tournament players ages 10-13, plays Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 4:30 to 6 p.m. Players ages 3-10 meet Monday to Thursday, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. For info and registration, visit pcrecreation.org or call 615-5400.

Skating and Hockey Academy

Primal Move at Silver Mountain

Primal Move is not your typical gym workout. It is a hot new fitness trend that brings back the playful side of exercise. There is purpose, direction, and a primary goal to move and feel better when you leave than when you arrived. It’s perfect for athletes who want to prevent injuries or anyone wanting to improve balance and flexibility. Silver Mountain Sports Club offers Primal Move classes at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday mornings in Prospector Park through certified personal trainer Kevin Rail. Mountain Trails Foundation Needs Volunteers

Adult Learn to Play

Paddleboard Fitness and Yoga Classes

Park City Standup Paddleboarding offers on-the-water yoga classes every Wednesday and Friday at 10 a.m. PC SUP also offers paddleboard fitness classes on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10 a.m. The classes cost $20 each and include a board rental. Pickleball at the PC MARC

One of the fastest-growing sports in America, Pickleball is now offered at the PC MARC. This fun sport has simple rules and lots of action. Racquet-sport enthusiasts and newcomers are welcome to play on the MARC’s three indoor Pickleball courts Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon. Fee is $3 per player. Couples League at PC Golf Club

The Couples League, for beginning to advanced golfers, is new for 2013 at the Park City Golf Club. Handicaps are not used and you do not have to be a member of the USGA. Aquafit at the PC MARC

Instructors at the PC MARC will offer a great cardio and water resistance-based workout at the PC MARC leisure pool.
