Hole in One
On Aug. 30, Ray MacKowan scored a hole-in-one at Mt. Dell Lakes Course, Hole # 7. It measured 117 yards and he used a pitching wedge. John Ray, Todd Thursby and Ron Sperry witnessed the shot.
Adult Flag Football at Basin Rec
Ready, set, hike! It’s time to sign up for Basin Recreation Adult Flag Football. Games and practices will be held at The Fieldhouse on Sundays from Sept. 29 through Dec. 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cost is $450 per team and must be paid in full prior to being scheduled. Basin Rec Fall Volleyball
Basin Recreation is offering a fall volleyball program from Oct. 15 through Nov. 19 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Ecker Hill Middle School gymnasium. Third through fifth graders will play from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and cost is $60 per participant. Sixth through eighth graders will play from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and cost is $110 per participant. Basin Rec Guided Hike

Park City Ute Tailgate Party
The Tailgate party and fundraiser is an event designed to support the Park City Ute Conference Football Program. It will be held on Sept. 28 at The Tavern at Sky Lodge, from 8-11p.m, with a Park City-casual dress code. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Please join the community for a fun evening of food and drink. The proceeds will go towards scholarships and new equipment. Fifteen percent of the proceeds will benefit the Aaron Alford Memorial Fund. Invite your friends.
PCHS Basketball Golf Tourney
The PCHS boys’ basketball team is hosting a fundraiser golf tournament/scramble, Wednesday, Sept. 25, at The Jeremy Ranch Country Club. Entry is $110 per player or $425 for a foursome. Dog Obedience Classes at the PC MARC
Certified local dog trainer Heather Hampsten will teach Puppy, Basic and Intermediate classes on Tuesdays, Oct. 1 to Nov. 5. Classes are for adults over 16 and their dogs. Youth Karate Shotokan
Children build self-esteem, self-discipline, confidence, respect and fitness by participating in the Youth Karate program at the PC MARC. Little Dribblers at Basin Rec
Get ready to shoot some hoops! Basin Recreation’s Little Dribblers will run from Oct. 14 through Dec. 7. Preschool and kindergarteners will play on either Tuesday or Thursday in addition to Saturday at Trailside Elementary. First- and second-graders will play on Mondays and Wednesdays at Ecker Hill Middle School. All teams are coed and are designed to emphasize the fundamentals of basketball and to encourage improvement each week. Cost is $65 (includes a jersey). Adult Golf Clinic

Tae Kwon Do at Basin Rec
Learn the fundamentals of self defense in the traditional Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do with Basin Recreation! Fall Junior Tennis
Park City Recreation offers Session 1 of Fall Junior Tennis Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 26 to Oct. 19. All levels of high school, grades 8-12, are welcome. Team A, for intermediate and advanced tournament players, meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 4:30 to 6 p.m., at City Park. Primal Move at Silver Mountain
Primal Move is not your typical gym workout. It is a hot new fitness trend that brings back the playful side of exercise. There is purpose, direction, and a primary goal to move and feel better when you leave than when you arrived. It’s perfect for athletes who want to prevent injuries or anyone wanting to improve balance and flexibility. Couples League at PC Golf Club
The Couples League, for beginning to advanced golfers, is new for 2013 at the Park City Golf Club. Handicaps are not used and you do not have to be a member of the USGA.
