Race to Sochi Fundraiser
Local alpine skier Megan McJames is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 28, to help cover costs for her 2013-14 World Cup ski season. The event will be held at 335 McHenry Street in Park City, and will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $75. The event will serve beer, wine and appetizers and will have a silent auction and a meet-and-greet with World Cup ski racers. Park City Miners Competitive Basketball Tryouts

Adult Flag Football at Basin Rec
Ready, set, hike! It’s time to sign up for Basin Recreation Adult Flag Football. Third through fifth graders will play from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and cost is $60 per participant. Sixth through eighth graders will play from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and cost is $110 per participant. Basin Rec Guided Hike
Change of plans! Basin Recreation’s free guided hike on Saturday, Sept. 28 will be joining the Hi Ute Celebration with an open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thanks to our community, over 3,000 acres of contiguous open space, stretching from Hwy 224 to Parley’s Summit, has been protected. For a unique look at this iconic ranch and the chance to celebrate the amazing preservation we have created together with Utah Open Lands, take a guided nature hike through the property. High Country Fly Fishing Meeting
On Oct. 2, High Country Fly Fishers will hold its monthly meeting. The meeting will be at St Marys Church on Rt 224 at 7 p.m. The general public is welcome to attend. Park City Ute Tailgate Party
The Tailgate party and fundraiser is an event designed to support the Park City Ute Conference Football Program. It will be held on Sept. 28 at The Tavern at Sky Lodge, from 8-11p.m, with a Park City-casual dress code. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Please join the community for a fun evening of food and drink. The proceeds will go towards scholarships and new equipment. Fifteen percent of the proceeds will benefit the Aaron Alford Memorial Fund. Invite your friends.
PCHS Basketball Golf Tourney

Get ready to shoot some hoops! Basin Recreation’s Little Dribblers will run from Oct. 14 through Dec. 7. Preschool and kindergarteners will play on either Tuesday or Thursday in addition to Saturday at Trailside Elementary. First- and second-graders will play on Mondays and Wednesdays at Ecker Hill Middle School. All teams are coed and are designed to emphasize the fundamentals of basketball and to encourage improvement each week. Cost is $65 (includes a jersey).
