Youth Crew October Scare
Join Basin Recreation’s Youth Crew for the October Scare! Kids ages 10 to 13 will head down to Lagoon’s Frightmares on Friday, Oct. 25, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Drop off and pickup are at the Trailside Park Room. Cost is $55 and includes dinner at the park. Pickleball at the PC MARC
One of the fastest growing sports in America, pickleball is now offered at the PC MARC. This popular, fun sport has simple rules and lots of action. Racquet sport enthusiasts and newcomers are welcome to play on the MARC’s three indoor pickleball courts Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon. Fee is $3 per player. Basin Rec Halloween Run
Celebrate the Spirits with Basin Recreation on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. at Newpark Plaza. Join us in costume for a 10K, 5K, and 1-mile trick-or-treat run with candy stations sponsored by local businesses along the way. Cost is $20 per person or $50 per family. Halloween Zumba at Basin Rec

Park City Miners Competitive Basketball Tryouts

Fall Break Basic Skating Camp at Park City Ice Arena

Big Foot Soccer
Winter is quickly approaching, so let’s take soccer indoors! Basin Recreation’s Big Foot Soccer will run from Oct. 28 through Dec. 14 at The Fieldhouse. Third and fourth graders will practice on Mondays and Saturdays, fifth and sixth graders will practice on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and seventh and eighth graders will practice on Mondays and Saturdays. Adult Flag Football at Basin Rec
Ready, set, hike! It’s time to sign up for Basin Recreation Adult Flag Football. Games and practices will be held at The Fieldhouse on Sundays from Sept. 29 through Dec. 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cost is $450 per team and must be paid in full prior to being scheduled. Basin Rec Fall Volleyball
Basin Recreation is offering a fall volleyball program from Oct. 15 through Nov. 19 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Ecker Hill Middle School gymnasium. Third through fifth graders will play from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and cost is $60 per participant. Sixth through eighth graders will play from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and cost is $110 per participant. Dog Obedience Classes at the PC MARC
Certified local dog trainer Heather Hampsten will teach Puppy, Basic and Intermediate classes on Tuesdays, Oct. 1 to Nov. 5. Classes are for adults over 16 and their dogs. Youth Karate Shotokan

Get ready to shoot some hoops! Basin Recreation’s Little Dribblers will run from Oct. 14 through Dec. 7. Preschool and kindergarteners will play on either Tuesday or Thursday in addition to Saturday at Trailside Elementary. First- and second-graders will play on Mondays and Wednesdays at Ecker Hill Middle School. All teams are coed and are designed to emphasize the fundamentals of basketball and to encourage improvement each week. Cost is $65 (includes a jersey). Tae Kwon Do at Basin Rec
Learn the fundamentals of self defense in the traditional Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do with Basin Recreation! Fall Junior Tennis
Park City Recreation offers Session 1 of Fall Junior Tennis Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 26 to Oct. 19. All levels of high school, grades 8-12, are welcome. Team A, for intermediate and advanced tournament players, meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 4:30 to 6 p.m., at City Park. Primal Move at Silver Mountain
Primal Move is not your typical gym workout. It is a hot new fitness trend that brings back the playful side of exercise. The Couples League, for beginning to advanced golfers, is new for 2013 at the Park City Golf Club. Handicaps are not used and you do not have to be a member of the USGA.
