PCHS Boys’ Lacrosse Meeting
The Park City High School boys’ lacrosse team’s spring meeting will be held Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 6-8 p.m. in the small theater at PCHS. The meeting is for anyone in grades 9-12 who wants to play lacrosse this spring.
Thanksgiving Master Classes
Join Basin Recreation on Thanksgiving Day for two pre-dinner workouts at The Fieldhouse even before your first bite of turkey! Group Cycle will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and the Turkey Burn will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. $10 drop-in fee only. No monthly or fitness punch passes. Overcome Lower Back Pain
This workshop, scheduled for Nov. 16, from 2-5 p.m. at the Silver Mountain Sports Club & Spa/Kimball Junction yoga room, focuses on overcoming lower back pain. If you have ever experienced lower back pain, and have tried to find a way to escape the pain, this workshop is for you. Participants will learn what is triggering their lower-back issues, why their body responds the way it does to then protect their backs and what gentle movements they can immediately learn to get on the path of recovery as well as incorporating such movements into their daily/weekly routines to prevent future flare-ups. The workshop is $25 and is presented by Sharon Starika, Feldenkrais practitioner/movement educator. Thanksgiving Day Workouts at the PC MARC
The PC MARC will be open 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, and admission is free for all who bring a canned food donation. Earn your Thanksgiving feast with an expansive offering of morning classes at the PC MARC. Thanksgiving morning classes begin at 7:30 a.m. and include spin, Zumba, yoga, step, kickbox, core, pilates and pain-free posture. Basin Rec Basketball Clinics
Does your third through eighth grader want to learn the fundamentals of basketball? Join Basin Recreation for a series of Skills and Drills Basketball Clinics on Nov. 22, Dec. 6 and Dec. 20 at the Ecker Hill Middle School gym. Third through fifth grade will meet from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and sixth through eighth grade will meet from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. The cost is $40 per player. Snowmobile Education Courses
With snowmobile season just around the corner, Utah State Parks and Recreation reminds young riders and their parents that state-required youth snowmobile education courses are available online at ohv.utah.gov. Utah law requires youths ages 8 to 16 to complete a Utah State Parks Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Education Course before operating a machine on public lands or trails. Anyone over age 16 without a valid driver’s license must also complete the course to legally operate an OHV on public land. Course fees are $30 and upon successful completion of coursework, students can print temporary certificates and later receive permanent certificates by mail. Basin Rec Jr. Jazz Basketball
Get ready to shoot some hoops! Basin Recreation’s Jr. Jazz basketball will run from Jan. 6 through March 7. Third through eighth graders will play twice a week at Ecker Hill, Treasure Mountain, or Trailside Elementary. Player evaluations will be held in early December. Cost is $70. Holiday Spin 350 Challenge
The PC MARC will keep you riding this winter season while Park City’s 350 miles of trails are snow packed. Join the awesome spin instructors in covering 350 miles in the comfort of a spin studio with a view. Earn 15 miles per one-hour spin class you attend. Log your total miles to date on the Park City Recreation Facebook page at the end of each week, Nov. 1 to Jan. 31, as you race to complete a total of 350. Finisher prizes will be awarded! Ski Conditioning at Basin Rec
Want to get in shape for the ski season? Check out Basin Recreation’s Ski Conditioning fitness class at The Fieldhouse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. from Nov. 5 to Dec. 5. Noon Drop-In Basketball at the PC MARC

Park City Skating Academy
Registration for upcoming Learn to Skate classes is open. The first class is Monday, Nov. 11. Classes run for six weeks on Mondays from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Cost to register is $80. Registration includes six 30-minute classes, practice time and free admission and skate rental to Saturday morning open skates during the Late Fall Session. Basic Hockey Skating Classes
Basic Hockey Skating is Thursdays 4:30-5:15 p.m. for children ages 4 to 12. The cost is $80 starting Oct. 31. Registration includes six 45- minute classes, free admission and skate rental to Saturday morning open skates during the Late Fall Session. Equipment may be rented, if available, for $15. Pickleball at the PC MARC
One of the fastest-growing sports in America, pickleball is now offered at the PC MARC. This popular, fun sport has simple rules and lots of action. Racquet sport enthusiasts and newcomers are welcome to play on the MARC’s three indoor pickleball courts Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon. Fee is $3 per player. Thanksgiving Break Basic Skating Camp
No school? That’s cool, hit the ice at Park City Ice Arena’s Basic Skating Camp on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants will enjoy two on-ice group classes and practice sessions as well as a fun off-ice activity. Barre Classes at the PC MARC
New to the MARC: Strengthen your core and increase flexibility with a unique workout using the ballet barre along with other fitness equipment. Big Foot Soccer
Winter is quickly approaching, so let’s take soccer indoors! Basin Recreation’s Big Foot Soccer will run from Oct. 28 through Dec. 14 at The Fieldhouse. Third and fourth graders will practice on Mondays and Saturdays, fifth and sixth graders will practice on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and seventh and eighth graders will practice on Mondays and Saturdays. Basin Rec Fall Volleyball
Basin Recreation is offering a fall volleyball program from Oct. 15 through Nov. 19 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Ecker Hill Middle School gymnasium. Third through fifth graders will play from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and cost is $60 per participant. Sixth through eighth graders will play from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and cost is $110 per participant. Athletic Republic offers speed and agility training programs for the field-sport athlete as well as multiple training programs for the endurance athlete. Primal Move at Silver Mountain
Primal Move is not your typical gym workout. It is a hot new fitness trend that brings back the playful side of exercise.
