PCHS Hockey Playoff Game

The PCHS hockey team will play a second-round playoff game on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Park City Ice Arena against the two-time defending state champion Judge Memorial Bulldogs. The game will be Fan Appreciation Night. There will be free hot dogs and drinks for everyone. Admission for playoff games is $2. This is the final home game of the season for Park City, as the games from here on out move down to the Salt Lake Sports Complex.

Lacrosse Registration Open

The Park City Youth Lacrosse Organization has opened registration for the spring lacrosse season. Boys in grades 1-8 and girls in grades 3-8 are encouraged to register. Town Race Series at PCMR

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, the Town Race Series will return to Park City Mountain Resort for the second race of the season. Races will be held at the Eagle Race Arena from 3 to 6 p.m. Registration is $20 for single racers, or $60 for a team of four. The final two races of the season are Wednesday, Feb. 22, and Wednesday, March 12. Visit parkcityskiteam.org for more information.

Pioneers Going Pink

Head to the Park City Ice Arena on Saturday, Feb. 8, to help the Park City Pioneers raise money for breast cancer research. The team will be wearing pink jerseys and all proceeds will be donated to fund cancer research in the state of Utah. Saturday’s game against the Sun Valley Suns is set to begin at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for kids and students and $3 for youth hockey players and resort employees.

Youth Karate at the PC MARC

Park City Recreation’s next session of Youth Karate at the PC MARC is Feb. 24 to April 2 on Mondays and Wednesdays for Tiny Tigers (ages 4-6) and Ninjas (beginners). Class times are 3:45-4:30 p.m. for Tiny Tigers and 4:30-5:30 p.m. for Ninjas. Children will build confidence, self-discipline and fitness that will have a positive, lasting effect. Axis Freeskiing Girls Camp Calling all girls come to Axis Freeskiing’s President’s Week Girls Camp at Park City Mountain Resort! This camp is a fun-filled learning environment catered to girls. Focusing on Terrain Park and All Mountain skis, this introductory camp is the perfect way to spend your holiday break! The camp is for ages 9 and up, intermediate and up skiers, no terrain park skills needed. It will be held Feb. 19 and 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $125. Silver Ski Nordic Tour

Get out on the winter trails with Basin Recreation for the Silver Ski Nordic Tour on Sunday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy continuous skiing from White Pine Touring Center to Newpark Town Center Plaza. Free small water bottles will be given to the first 100 skiers. The route is weather dependent, so be sure to stay tuned for event updates via Facebook and Twitter! Spring Soccer Leagues at the PC MARC

The PC MARC has spring soccer programs for everyone ages three to adult. Offerings include Start Smart Soccer, Youth Soccer League, Match Mix-Up and Adult 7v7 Soccer League. PC Tennis Sweetheart Social

Bring your date and join PC Tennis for the inaugural Sweetheart Social on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 6-9 p.m. at the PC MARC. Fun, organized round-robin play will take place throughout the evening, and desserts will be provided. The fee is $20 per player. Register at the PC MARC or call 615-5400.

February Break Camp

Basin Recreation’s February Break Camp is right around the corner! Join us Feb. 18-21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ecker Hill Middle School gym. Early drop-off is at 8 a.m. and late pickup is at 5 p.m. Campers will enjoy sledding, swimming, and games. Be sure to pack lunch, sledding gear, a swimsuit and a towel. Guided Snowshoe Hike

Explore Basin Recreation’s winter trail system with the next free guided snowshoe hike on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 10:30 a.m. on Rob’s Trail. Hikes last one to two hours. Olympic Fever at PC Ice Arena

Celebrate your Olympic spirit for ice sports at the Park City Ice Arena on Feb. 15. Register individually for Learn to Curl, Learn to Speed Skate, a youth hockey cross-ice tournament or a figure skater survivor contest. All classes cost $10. Cosmic Skate will follow from 5-7 p.m. and will be open to the public. Participants from the day’s events will receive free admission and skate rental and free skate rentals will be given to anyone wearing Olympic flair. Love and Logic at PC MARC

Positive Parenting, a PC MARC Enrichment Series, will help parents increase positive interactions with their newborn to 8-year-old children. The interactive course, led by Katie Nelson, is a three-part series taking place Tuesday evenings, Feb. 11, 18 and 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. The techniques will guide you on how to parent without anger, get your child to listen and offer choices more effectively. Youth Soccer Academy

The Park City Soccer Club is starting its annual Spring Soccer Academy for kids 7-10 years old. The academy curriculum is based on fun, dynamic and age-appropriate training sessions to enhance technical skills. The academy is open to all skill levels and is a great way to be active and get ready for spring recreational soccer. The academy meets on Wednesday and Fridays starting Feb. 5 and ends May 16. Players may choose one or two days per week to participate and may join at any time. The cost is $140 for one day or $275 for two days per week. Players may join at any time and will pay a prorated price after the first two weeks. Speed Bag Training at PC MARC

The PC MARC is now offering speed bag training with private instruction. Speed bag training is fun and offers a phenomenal cardio workout while improving strength, hand-eye coordination, self esteem and confidence. Basin Rec Golf Simulator

Don’t lose your golf swing over the long winter months! Take advantage of the golf simulator at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse and schedule your one-hour tee time on Tuesday or Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Play a variety of courses throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia and improve your golf game. Snowmobile Education Courses

Utah State Parks and Recreation reminds young riders and their parents that state-required youth snowmobile education courses are available online at ohv.utah.gov. Utah law requires youths ages 8 to 16 to complete a Utah State Parks Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Education Course before operating a machine on public lands or trails. Anyone over age 16 without a valid driver’s license must also complete the course to legally operate an OHV on public land. Course fees are $30 and upon successful completion of coursework, students can print temporary certificates and later receive permanent certificates by mail. Noon Drop-In Basketball at the PC MARC

Pickleball at the PC MARC

One of the fastest-growing sports in America, pickleball is now offered at the PC MARC. This popular, fun sport has simple rules and lots of action. Racquet sport enthusiasts and newcomers are welcome to play on the MARC’s three indoor pickleball courts Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon. Fee is $3 per player. Barre Classes at the PC MARC

New to the MARC: Strengthen your core and increase flexibility with a unique workout using the ballet barre along with other fitness equipment. "Barre Fit" is Tuesday and Thursday at noon, and "Barre Tone" is Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Daily class rates apply or included in class pass. Primal Move at Silver Mountain
