Summer Softball Leagues

It’s time to play ball! Park City Recreation’s coed and men’s Summer Softball Leagues play from May 11 to Aug. 31 on weekday evenings at City Park and the Park City Sports Complex. Lacrosse Instructors Needed

Basin Recreation is running an Introduction to Lacrosse program for kids in kindergarten through third grade. Instructors are needed for the program, which will run on Saturdays from April 16 to May 21 from 9-11 a.m. each day. The pay is $9.15 to $14.01 depending on experience and all instructors will receive a one-month pass to the Fieldhouse. Playin’ the Basin Way

Basin Recreation is holding open field time for those in adaptive (physical, mental or other limitations) populations and their siblings. Wellness Week at the PC MARC

The PC MARC is teaming up with local health experts to bring the community a week of wellness programming from April 11 to 15. Basin Rec Introduction to Lacrosse Program

Basin Recreation invites kindergarteners through third graders to get ready for an Introduction to Lacrosse program. Join Basin Rec at Matt Knoop Park every Saturday from April 16 to May 21. Players will learn the fundamentals of the game and will be provided with a stick and lacrosse balls for practice. The cost is $45 per player. Dog Obedience Classes at the PC MARC

Certified local dog trainer Heather Hampsten will teach Puppy Preschool and Basic Obedience classes on Tuesday evenings from April 11 to May 29 at the PC MARC. Broomball at PC Ice Arena

The Park City Ice Arena will be holding drop-in sessions for broomball on Monday nights. Sessions on April 11, 18 and 25 and May 2 will run from 8:30 to 10 p.m. The cost of admission is $10.50 and equipment rentals are $3.50. You can also bring your own equipment — a helmet (ski helmets are fine), elbow pads, shin guards and gloves. For more information, call the Park City Ice Arena at 435-615-5707.

Match Mix Up Soccer

Basin Recreation Earth Day

Join Basin Recreation for an Earth Day Celebration on Friday, April 22, from 5:30-9 p.m. at the Fieldhouse. Kim’s Cold Blooded Creatures and Recycle Utah will be there with creatures and crafts for all! Watch "Norm of the North" on the big screen at 7 p.m. Park City Nursery will donate a tree to the school with the most attendees. This is a free community event. Bring a new or gently used children’s book for the "Ride for Reading" Book Drive.

Cinco de Mayo Zumba

Dance your way to fitness with Basin Recreation’s fun Cinco De Mayo Zumba Glow! The class will be Thursday, May 5, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in Studio A. The cost is $10. Give it a Tri Fitness Program

Can you swim two lengths in the pool? What about get through an indoor cycle class or walk or jog around the block? Basin Recreation is offering a "Give it a Tri" Fitness Program to help get you ready for your first race! This fitness program starts April 19 and runs through May 26 every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at The Fieldhouse or the Park City Aquatic Center. Running Fitness Program

Have you signed up for Running with Ed? Are you feeling unprepared for the legs you have to run? Put your worries aside and get training in the Basin Recreation Running Program. The program runs April 19 through May 19 every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at The Fieldhouse. The cost is $75 for 10 sessions — no drop-in fee for this program. Basin Recreation Spring Volleyball

Basin Recreation Spring Volleyball runs April 19 to May 12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Ecker Hill Gym. Work on skills for the upcoming volleyball season. Players will learn the basics and play matches and mini-tournaments for a bit of friendly competition. The cost is $60 for 3rd-5th graders and $100 for 6th-9th graders. Both divisions are coed. Basin Recreation Summer Camp registration opened on April 1. Join Basin Rec for a day, a week or the whole summer for new and classic adventures. Spring Tennis with Basin Recreation

Learn how to volley, serve, rally and have a great time learning the game of tennis. Basin Recreation Spring Tennis runs April 29 to May 27. Tennis clinics are on Fridays from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Trailside tennis courts. The cost is $60 for all five sessions. This program will sell out so register now! Spring Indoor Soccer Clinics

Basin Recreation is offering Spring Soccer Clinics every Tuesday from April 12 to May 17. Children ages 6-7 play from 4-5 p.m. and 8-11 year olds play from 5-6 p.m. The cost is $75 per player. Improve your soccer skills and learn the fundamentals of the game.

Learn to Swing with Basin Recreation

Basin Recreation is hosting a four-week Learn to Swing Dance class. Instructors from BallroomUtah Dance Studios will teach on Fridays from 5-6 p.m. at The Fieldhouse (Studio A) and the studio will remain open for an hour afterward with music for anyone wishing to stay and practice. The cost is $10 per class and can be paid in advance online or at The Fieldhouse upon arrival. There is no need to pre-register — simply show up at 5 p.m. on Fridays and join the class. Basin Recreation Little League

Calling all coaches! Basin Recreation will transition from its traditional Youth Baseball program to a Little League International sanctioned Little League program this spring. Help is needed to make the inaugural season as seamless as possible. Basin Rec is currently seeking additional coaches and team sponsors ahead of the upcoming spring 2016 season. Adult Lunch Bunch

Adult Lunch Bunch is held on Wednesdays at 12 p.m. at the Park City Ice Arena. This class is for the adult skater who wants to enjoy some social time on the ice with other adults, learn some new skills and get a great workout. New Evening Childcare Hours at PC MARC

The PC MARC is now offering evening childcare hours so you can conveniently get your after-work fitness in. Fun and attentive childcare staff will keep children ages 1-6 entertained Mondays through Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m. for just $4 per hour. Cardio Tennis Offerings at the PC MARC

Add an exciting new element to your workout by combining the cardio of tennis with the strength benefits of TRX. The PC MARC is offering both Cardio Tennis and Cardio TRX Tennis designed to improve fitness on and off the court. The high-energy, full-body workout is perfect, whether or not you are a tennis player! Classes are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Park City Speed Skating Club

Come join the Park City Speed Skating Club for the new season. PCSSC is a skill-building, fitness-oriented club with an emphasis on fun. Basic skating skills are necessary and all ages are welcome. Practices will take place on Monday evenings from 6:15-8 p.m. and are coached by four-time Olympian Catherine Raney-Norman. The first visit is free so come take a lap with PCSSC. Whether you’re a youth or just young at heart, the PC MARC has a new spin class just for you. Pickleball at the PC MARC

PC Tennis invites those interested in racket sports to discover pickleball, the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. Head to the PC MARC for a variety of pickleball programming, including drop-in/social play, tournaments, clinics and drills.
