Park City Soccer Club Hosts Tryouts
The Park City Soccer Club is hosting tryouts for girls and boys interested in competitive club soccer during the 2016-17 program year. Affiliated with Utah Youth Soccer Association, PCSC offers teams for players 7-18 years of age. The program year runs June-May, with league play scheduled throughout the fall and spring. G.O.A.T. Football Camp and Youth Football Registration
Registration for the fourth-annual Aaron Alford G.O.A.T. Camp is now open at UteFootball.org . The dates are June 27-29 and the camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day. It will be held on Dozier Field at Park City High School and the cost is $75 per player. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 13. Also open on UteFootball.org is registration for the 2016 season for athletes ages 7 to 14. The cost is $275 per player, which includes equipment and coaching.
Wasatch Ladies Golf League
The Wasatch Ladies Golf League will play every Tuesday throughout the summer and new members are welcome. The group plays both the Wasatch Lake and Mountain courses and the Soldier Hollow Silver and Gold courses. Red Cross Lifeguard Course
Learn the skills that allow for a safe day at the pool with the Red Cross Lifeguard Course offered by Park City Recreation. These certification courses are for those 15 and older. First Aid/CPR Course
Make sure you are prepared when an emergency happens by learning First Aid, CPR and AED Skills with Park City Recreation’s one-day course. National Safety Council instructors will lead a session for those 15 and older from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on May 31 at the PC MARC. The fee is $50. Bike to School Day
Calling all students from Jeremy Ranch, Parley’s Park, McPolin and Trailside elementary schools. School is almost out, so start the summer a bit early with a great bike ride! Celebrate Bike to School Day with Basin Recreation on Friday, May 27, from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. After school, cruise by Trailside Park for free safety demonstrations and barbecue with the Summit County Health Department and Sheriff’s Department. Summer Swim Lessons
Help your child achieve their swimming goals this summer at the PC MARC! Swim lessons for ages six months to 12 years begin in June. Lessons are offered Monday through Thursday and on Saturday mornings, in addition to Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The Challenge Fitness Program
Basin Recreation is offering The Challenge Fitness Program — a high intensity fitness program that incorporates unique challenges to keep your mind and body guessing. The program will run June 6 through July 1 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at Matt Knoop Park. The cost is $120 for 12 sessions. Guided Hikes with Basin Recreation
Come explore with Basin Recreation’s first free guided hike of the season on Saturday, June 4, at 9 a.m. at Trailside Mountain Ranch Estates trail. All hikes will meet at The Fieldhouse and last an hour and a half to two hours. Leaders will pick a different trail every month through September. Adult Learn to Play Hockey
The Park City Ice Arena will hold four Adult Learn to Play Hockey classes on upcoming Sundays. The classes will run from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. on June 19 and 26 and July 10 and 17. The class is for ages 14 and up and the registration fee is $82. Enrollment includes admission for one friend or family member to a Stick and Puck class held at class time on the other side of the ice. Equipment is required and may be rented for a $15 fee. Please arrange equipment fitting seven days in advance. Required equipment includes a helmet, elbow pads, gloves, pants, shin pads and skates. Basic Skating Camp
The Park City Ice Arena will host Basic Skating Camps June 20-24 and Aug. 8-12. The camp hours are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Basic Skating Camp is for skaters at least 4 years of age and of all skill levels, as long as they have taken group skating classes, private lessons or skate regularly on their own and can skate comfortably without assistance. This camp has a recreational focus. The camps cost $170, but the price of the June camp increases to $190 on June 6 and the cost of the August camp increases to $190 on July 25. Termite Hockey Camp
The Park City Ice Arena will host Termite Hockey Camps June 6-10 and Aug. 1-5. These camps are for girls and boys ages 5-7 who can skate forward, backward and stop comfortably in hockey skates. The camps cost $185 and the prices increase to $200 on May 23 and July 18, respectively. To register, call 435-615-5707 or stop by the front desk.
Extended Day Termite Camp
Afternoon camp is available Monday through Friday, June 6-10, from 12:30 to 5 p.m. for an additional $25 per day. Sign up for one day or for the entire week. Counselors from the MARC will keep your Termite campers active with a variety of activities — field play at the Quinn’s fields, visiting local playgrounds and maybe even a swim at the MARC. A minimum of four campers must register for the Extended Day Termite Camp program to occur.
Apex Summer Volleyball Camp
Apex Volleyball will hold a Volleyball Summer Camp in Park City from June 6 to July 8, with practices twice per week. Beach volleyball groups for beginners, intermediate and advanced players are available. The camp is open to players ages 10 to 18. Kids 7-13, get your artistic skills ready for Basin Recreation’s StART of Summer T-shirt contest. Kids have until May 31 to come up with and submit original works of art to go on the Start of Summer Color Run T-shirts! StART of Summer
Join Basin Recreation for the annual StART of Summer Color Run on Saturday, June 18, at Willow Creek Park starting at 9 a.m. A 5K fun run, featuring powdered paint stations, will be sure to colorfully entertain. A 1-mile run and a 100-yard dash for the kids will follow. Cost for the 5K is $15 per person or $45 per family prior to June 15. All pre-registered runners receive a Fun Run T-shirt. Basin’s Backyard Bash Community Event
Basin Recreation is proud to be hosting a Grand Opening Event at the newly constructed Trailside Disc Golf Course located at Trailside Park on Saturday, June 4. The event will feature an Inaugural Trailside Trilogy Challenge Disc Golf Tournament ($30 per player). Each registrant in the Trailside Trilogy Challenge will keep a player’s kit, including a Driver, Mid-Range and Putting Disc to be used during the tourney. All level players are welcome! The second annual Cornhole Classic ($20/team) as well as Pickleball instruction and games will be taking place in conjunction with this event throughout the day. Junior Golf Camps
Junior Golf Camp sign up at the Park City Golf Course is open and will be open until camps fill. Please come in to the Golf Shop to register. The cost is $165 per player. Clubs are provided for those who need them. On the last day of camp, the juniors play on the golf course and then have a barbecue, all included in the cost of the camp. These clinic-style camps are for ages 7-12 and will cover all areas of the game of golf. This includes safety, grip, stance, putting, chipping, full swing, course etiquette and rules. These four-day camps are held from 9 a.m. until noon each day. The sessions run June 6-9, 13-16 and 20-23.

Learn to Swing with Basin Recreation
Basin Recreation is hosting a four-week Learn to Swing Dance class. Instructors from BallroomUtah Dance Studios will teach on Fridays from 5-6 p.m. at The Fieldhouse (Studio A) and the studio will remain open for an hour afterward with music for anyone wishing to stay and practice. New Evening Childcare Hours at PC MARC
The PC MARC is now offering evening childcare hours so you can conveniently get your after-work fitness in. Fun and attentive childcare staff will keep children ages 1-6 entertained Mondays through Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m. for just $4 per hour. Cardio Tennis Offerings at the PC MARC
Add an exciting new element to your workout by combining the cardio of tennis with the strength benefits of TRX.
