Homeschool P.E.
The PC MARC is hosting a weekly, one-hour homeschool physical education program meant to engage homeschoolers in physical activity while developing meaningful relationships with their peers. Starting Nov. 9 is the “Kids’ Favorites” P.E. session from 10 to 11 a.m. Students ages 6 to 12 welcome. Visit to sign up or call 435-615-5400 for more information.

Referee clinic
The Park City Soccer Club is hosting an entry-level referee certification class on Friday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 10 in the lecture hall at Park City High School. The class is open to boys and girls ages 12 and older as of May 1, 2019, as well as interested adults, seeking a paid opportunity to officiate Utah Youth Soccer competitive club games.

The Friday session will run 6-9 p.m., while the Saturday session, which concludes with a certification exam, runs 9 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m. Successful participants ages 14 and older will receive a Grade 8 US Soccer Federation License, at a cost of $82 annually. Those ages 12 and 13 will receive a Grade 9 US Soccer Federation License, at a cost of $62 annually. Financial assistance for the referee program is available for those who qualify. Volleyball club try-outs
Apex Volleyball Club in Park City is having try-outs for the upcoming season for players in eighth grade and younger on Nov. 12, and players in ninth grade and older on Nov. 8. According to a press release, Apex’s results are in the top 1 percent of volleyball clubs. More information is available at or by phone at 937-286-0935.

Girls basketball coach wanted
Park City High School is looking for someone to fill one of its paid girls basketball coaching positions. The program is under new leadership this season and is seeking a coach ready to help rebuild the program from the ground up. Pre- and postpartum yoga
The PC MARC offers a pre- and postpartum yoga workshop designed for new and expecting moms. Classes run every Tuesday, from 6 to 7 p.m., through Nov. 20. The workshop costs $55 for the fall session or drop-ins are available for $15 per class. Visit or call 435-615-5400 for more information.

Soldier Hollow seeks volunteers
Soldier Hollow and USA Nordic are seeking volunteers to help run the 2019 BMW Biathlon World Cup, coming to Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway from Feb. 14 to 17, 2019. The event is spread over four days of competitions and will include approximately 28 nations and 180 athletes. Volunteer positions include: race headquarters and competition office staff; course marshal; medical team; range crew; start/finish control officers; stadium staff; car drivers; welcoming/parking credential officials.
