Get Your Cross-Country Skis Waxed
The Wasatch Nordic Ski Academy athletes will be hosting the second-annual Drive For 25, Waxing For The Drive. Bring your classic or skate skis to Storm Cycles on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to get them cleaned and waxed for the upcoming ski season. Your suggested donation will benefit the National Nordic Foundation, which supports Nordic ski athletes as they pursue their racing goals. PCHS Girls’ Lacrosse Meeting
On Tuesday, Nov. 10, the Park City High School girls’ lacrosse team will host an informational meeting for all players interested in playing on the team during the 2016 spring lacrosse season and all players’ parents. The meeting will run from 6-7 p.m. and will be held in the Park City High School Lecture Hall. At the meeting, players and parents will meet the coaching staff and be provided with information regarding the dates for winter practices and try-outs, the expectations of players and parents, the volunteer requirements and opportunities and the fundraising requirements and opportunities. Additionally, there will be a question-and-answer session. This is an important meeting because it provides an opportunity for players and parents to learn everything they need to know about playing for the PCHS girls’ lacrosse team. Thus, all players and parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Free Lunchtime Learning at the PC MARC
Health & Wellness Coach Erin Kay discusses sugar cravings, tools to deal with them, and how to permanently change your relationship with sugar during this month’s Free Lunchtime Learning. Juniper Campground to Remain Open
Juniper Campground, located at Rockport State Park, will remain open all winter. The campground will be open with electric hookups only — the water and restroom will be closed. Campers with self-contained camp units can camp for $20 per night on a first-come, first-served basis. The roads and campground will be plowed all winter. Adult Lunch Bunch
Adult Lunch Bunch is held on Wednesdays at 12 p.m. at the Park City Ice Arena. This class is for the adult skater who wants to enjoy some social time on the ice with other adults, learn some new skills and get a great workout. Apex Volleyball Tryouts
Apex Volleyball tryouts will be held Nov. 9 and 12. Pre-club training is already underway. Both teams had great seasons in 2015 and enjoyment ratings from everyone were very high. Apex is also looking to add a couple of new coaches for this year. Volleyball is one of the fastest-growing sports and it is also the third most popular high school sport for girls. There were more than 500 teams in Utah playing in the various age groups last year. Basin Recreation’s Wildcard Wednesday
Get together with other local card players at Basin Recreation’s Park Room, 5715 Trailside Dr., from 1 to 3 p.m. every Wednesday beginning Nov. 25 for some DECKreation. Play bridge, canasta, euchre, or any of the classics in a fun and social setting. Participants are welcome to bring snacks and games are free of charge.

Basin Recreation is holding open field time for those in adaptive (physical, mental or other limitations) populations and their siblings. PC MARC Child Care
The PC MARC makes working out convenient and affordable for parents. When thinking about that gym pass for the winter, consider the child care that is exclusively for patrons who are on site. Registration for late-Fall classes is currently open. Classes are on Mondays from 5:30-6:15 p.m. or Saturdays from 9:15-10 a.m. Class includes 30 minutes of class time, 15 minutes of practice time and a punch card for six public skate sessions with skate rental. Both options are six weeks long and cost $80. Classes will begin on November 9. Students receive a punch card on their account with six admissions and skate rentals to public skate. Learn to Play Hockey
This class is for participants ages 5-12 years old who are able to skate forward, backward and stop comfortably in hockey skates. The class is 45 minutes. The price for Learn to Play Hockey is $93. Sessions will sell out so please register early. Students receive a punch card on their account with two Stick & Puck admissions and skate rentals. Basic Hockey Skating
This class is for participants ages four and up. Class includes a 30-minute lesson and 15 minutes of practice time. Students receive a punch card on their account with 6 admissions and skate rentals to public skate. The price for Basic Hockey Skating is $80. Equipment may also be available for $15. Please pay for equipment rental when you register for class. An equipment fitting must be scheduled at least seven days prior to the first day of class as we cannot guarantee availability of equipment in all sizes. PC Recreation’s youth karate program teaches children ages four and up life lessons that build self-esteem, confidence, respect and fitness. Intro to Ballroom Dance Class
Basin Recreation has partnered with Ballroom Utah Dance Studio to offer a six-week Intro to Ballroom Dance Class. Ballroom Utah’s professional instructors will introduce a different style of dance each week while progressing through the steps. Styles include the waltz, tango, cha-cha, swing, fox trot and salsa. Instruction will run Fridays from Nov. 6 to Dec. 18 from 4 to 5 p.m. at The Fieldhouse and Basin Rec will allow an additional hour of play/practice time once the instructor is finished. You do not need a partner to participate. Mother/son and father/daughter couples are more than welcome. Costs are $75 for individuals or $120 per couple. Register online at BasinRecreation.org . Cardio Tennis at the PC MARC
Cardio Tennis combines the best features of tennis with cardiovascular exercise to deliver a full-body aerobic workout. Taught by a tennis professional, Cardio Tennis is held on Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the PC MARC. Players of all levels are welcome to enjoy this dynamic workout that uses the agility ladder, cardio stations, cardio balls and music. The class fee is $26. The PC MARC’s Adult Ballet classes, taught by Joanne Rupinskas, focus on traditional ballet technique while emphasizing correct posture and body alignment. An intermediate session is being offered from Oct. 27 to Dec. 7. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The fee is $145. Park City Speed Skating Club
Come join the Park City Speed Skating Club for the new season. PCSSC is a skill-building, fitness-oriented club with an emphasis on fun. Basic skating skills are necessary and all ages are welcome. Practices will take place on Monday evenings from 6:15 to 8 p.m. and are coached by four-time Olympian Catherine Raney-Norman. The first time is free so come take a lap with PCSSC. Thriller Dance Workshop

Pickleball at the PC MARC
PC Tennis invites those interested in racket sports to discover pickleball, the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. Head to the PC MARC for a variety of pickleball programming, including drop-in/social play, tournaments, clinics and drills.
