Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Teams gearing up for World Cups this weekend

The men’s and women’s Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Teams are gearing up for their World Cup competitions over the weekend in Zermatt-Cervinia, Switzerland/Italy and Levi, Finland, respectively. Superstar Mikaela Shiffrin will be back in action, attempting to repeat in both the slalom events, while the men will be tackling a one-of-a-kind course. The men’s competition in Zermatt-Cervinia will begin at the highest-ever elevation in World Cup history on the Zermatt side in Switzerland, before crossing over to the Cervinia side in Italy, also making it the first cross-country event in history. The competition will kick off Saturday morning at 4 a.m. MST with the first women’s slalom run in Levi, and conclude Sunday morning at 7 a.m. with the second. All events can be watched on the U.S. Ski and Snowboard’s official website and on Outside+, where they will be commentated by NBC’s Steve Porino.
