Utes field QB-duo in marquee win over Florida

Utah fielded a unique QB-duo in Bryson Barnes and Nate Johnson Thursday evening, Aug. 31, in what was a marquee win against the Florida Gators. While Barnes started the game off with an electric and memorable 70-yard touchdown pass, Johnson inevitably found his way onto the field, adding a shifty 27-yard rushing score of his own, both in place of the injured, two-year starting signal caller Cameron Rising. Rising, who tore his ACL in January during the second-consecutive Rose Bowl that he’s led the Utes to, is still recovering but reportedly planning a possible return to practice and play with Utah traveling to Waco next week to take on the Baylor Bears.
