Park City Institute Presents Dr. Wendy Troxel

Park City Institute will present Dr. Wendy Troxel, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts, 1750 Kearns Blvd. Troxel, an internationally renowned sleep expert, is a senior behavioral scientist at the RAND Corporation, and serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Utah and University of Pittsburgh. She is also the author of “Sharing the Covers: Every Couple’s Guide to Better Sleep.” Through this talk, Troxel will demonstrate the vital importance of sleep for health, well-being and productivity. The Lone Bellow at the Egyptian Theatre



The Lone Bellow will perform Feb. 8-10 at the Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St. The band, featuring guitarist and lead vocalist Zach Williams, multi-instrumentalist Kanene Donehey Pipkin and guitarist Brian Elmquist, is known for its Americana, alt-country, indie folk and indie folk songs that include “Bleeding Out,” “Count on Me” and “Honey.” For information and tickets, call 855-745-SHOW or visit parkcityshows.com.

‘Dark Eyes’ book signing with author Nina Romano



Award-winning local author Nina Romano will sign her new book “Dark Eyes” at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9, and 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 11, at Dolly’s Bookstore, 528 Main St. Admission is free. “Dark Eyes” is about Anya, an unwed mother of a neurologically challenged child, who meets Andrei, a police photographer, at a murder scene. Park City Film Screenings

Park City Film will present Michael Mann’s biopic, “Ferrari,” rated R, from Friday, Feb. 9, through Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. Friday and Saturday’s screening will start at 7 p.m., and Sunday’s movie will begin at 6 p.m. Park City Film will also screen Pablo Casacuberta’s children’s film, “Soñar Robots (We Dream of Robots)” at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. “Ferrari,” starring Adam Driver, Penélope Cruz, Patrick Dempsey and Shailene Woodley, is set during the summer of 1957. Behind the spectacle and danger of 1950’s Formula 1, ex-racer, Enzo Ferrari, is in crisis. “Soñar Robots (We Dream of Robots),” part of Park City Film’s Foreign Cinema for Kids program, documents the journeys of two teams to the first robotics competition ever held in Latin America.
