Park City police blotter: Construction vehicles block road

On Sunday, March 10, at 6:27 p.m., the police received information about someone leaving a wallet in a rideshare vehicle earlier that evening. The police were told the wallet was found outside a Park City restaurant and an unspecified amount of cash was missing. The police logged the case as a suspected theft.

The police at 4:29 p.m. were told three vehicles were seen in charging stations “all day long” on Sullivan Road.

Someone at 3:47 p.m. reportedly hit a vehicle on Main Street and “started yelling” at the person who contacted the police. The police described the case as a citizen assist.



The Police Department at 3:15 p.m. received a complaint about someone “yelling” at other passengers, apparently either on a bus or at the Old Town transit center. The person was on a bench at the transit center at the time of the report to the police. The Police Department logged the case as suspected disorderly conduct.

A case categorized as suspected disorderly conduct was reported on Main Street at 12:02 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.



On Saturday, March 9, at 11:54 p.m., a vehicle was left on Main Street in a location where it blocked a fire hydrant. There was not a meter payment as well, the police said. The police issued citations.

A “mobile mechanic” was seen attempting to assist the driver of a rental car at 10:12 p.m. in the area of the intersection of S.R. 224 and Meadows Drive. The vehicle suffered a flat tire, the police said.

The police at 7:27 p.m. were told of a vehicle left in a Daly Avenue driveway of another person.

On Friday, March 8, at 10:49 p.m., a man was reported to be sleeping at the Old Town transit center. The man had a duffel bag, the police said. The police said the circumstances were suspicious.

A vehicle was reportedly seen in front of a fire hydrant in the area of the 500 block of Main Street at 10:31 p.m. The police stopped the vehicle, but it was not clear from public police logs what sort of enforcement action was taken.

Municipal parking services contacted the police at 6:39 p.m. indicating a vehicle needed to be moved from the area of the 900 block of Main Street. The Main Street trolley was “having a hard time making the turn,” the police were told.

On Wednesday, March 6, at 11:32 p.m., a case logged as suspected disorderly conduct was reported at a Main Street nightclub. Public police logs did not provide details.

A deer, described as young, was reported to be limping outside a Monitor Drive building at 7:24 a.m. The person who contacted the police was concerned about the animal, department logs indicated. The logs did not provide information about the cause of the deer’s limp.

On Tuesday, March 5, at 10:55 p.m., people, described as loud, were reported to be in a hot tub on Rothwell Road. The police logged the case as suspected disturbing the peace.

The Police Department at 12:27 p.m. received a complaint about construction vehicles “blocking the road” in the area of the intersection of Meadows Drive and Crestline Drive. The person who contacted the police indicated buses “will not be able to make it through” once the school day was over, according to department logs.

On Monday, March 4, at 3:20 p.m., a police officer pulled over a driver in the area of Kearns Boulevard and Cooke Drive after observing the truck’s tailgate was open. Tools were “beginning to slide out,” the police said.

An elevator rescue was reported at the Park City Library at 10:13 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.
