Miners girls lacrosse two-for-two on California roadtrip

The Miners girls lacrosse squad is two-for-two, as of Tuesday, on their California roadtrip, with wins against Miramonte and Carondelet. The Miners defeated Miramonte from Orinda, Ca., Saturday 21-10 and Carondelet from Concord, Ca., Monday 17-6. The wins have Park City sitting 7-1 overall and 2-0 in regional play this season. The Miners are riding a six-game win streak, with their only loss having come against Foothill from Santa Ana, Ca., March 19. Park City will end their California trip Tuesday, facing Campolindo from Moraga, Ca., at 3 p.m.

Miners boys lacrosse collected third-straight win last Friday



The Miners boys lacrosse squad collected their third-straight win Friday, defeating Alta 8-4 on the road. Senior Bracken Birch had a giant game for the Miners in the win, totaling three points on two goals and an assist. Birch has 12 points thus far on the season, good for the top-150 of all players in Utah. Park City will now enjoy their late spring break, next taking Dozier Field April 24 against Highland at 7:30 p.m. The Miners are 8-2 overall and 3-0 in regional play on the season, with six regular-season contests to go including the Highland one.

Miners baseball wins Cottonwood series last Friday, taking on Hillcrest this week



The Miners baseball squad defeated Cottonwood Friday 13-3 to win that three-game series. Tage Mckinley and Justin Michaelis had huge games, each batting 1.000 with two runs. The Miners now sit 12-7 overall and 6-3 in regional play on the season. Park City will be taking on Hillcrest this week, with games Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. All the games will begin at 3:30 p.m., with Tuesday and Friday’s being on the road. The Miners anticipate being able to play their first home game this season Wednesday against the Huskies. The Miners softball squad played their home opener last Friday, falling to Stansbury.

Jazz conclude season with loss to Warriors Sunday

The Jazz concluded their season Sunday with a 123-116 loss to the Warriors. Keyonte George had a big game in the loss, scoring 21 and assisting on four buckets. With the loss, the Jazz finish the season with a 31-51 record, good for 12th in the Western Conference. The Warriors finish in the 10th and final Play-In spot in the West, facing the ninth-seed Kings Tuesday in the Play-In Tournament. The Play-In runs Tuesday until Friday, with the playoffs then beginning Saturday. Utah last made the postseason during the 2021-22 season, then falling in six games in the first round to the Mavericks.
